Get These Ingredients on Your Face Cream: Shea Butter with Green Tea and Glycolic Acid

Every now and then a customer requests a formula that makes me stop and think, "That's actually a really smart combination." This custom Body Butter contains Green Tea Extract, Goat Milk, Glycolic Acid, and Marine Collagen.

At first glance, most people would probably focus on the Goat Milk because it's such a classic body care ingredient. Or the Glycolic Acid because it's become incredibly popular over the last few years.

But as someone who formulates skincare every day, the ingredient that stood out to me immediately was Marine Collagen. I don't see it requested nearly as often as it should be in body care. One thing I've learned after making custom skincare for many different skin types is that people often focus entirely on hydration. They look for richer butters, heavier creams, or more oils, thinking that's the answer to soft skin.

But hydration is only part of the picture. Skin can be moisturised and still not have that smooth, supple feeling people are looking for. That's where Marine Collagen becomes interesting.

The reason I like it in a body butter is because it complements the formula beautifully. Instead of simply helping the skin feel moisturised, it contributes to that conditioned, silky finish that makes skin feel healthy and well-maintained.

What this cream does for your skin?

Smoother skin texture

Glycolic Acid gently exfoliates away dead skin cells, helping rough areas feel softer and look more refined.

Deep nourishment

Goat Milk helps replenish dry skin with lasting moisture, leaving it feeling comfortable, supple, and silky smooth.

Supports skin elasticity

Marine Collagen helps improve the appearance of firmness and elasticity for skin that feels softer, bouncier, and well-conditioned.

Antioxidant protection

Green Tea Extract is rich in antioxidants that help protect the skin from environmental stressors that can contribute to premature skin aging.

Massage a generous amount onto clean skin whenever it needs a little extra love šŸ’š I personally love using body butter after an evening shower, especially on my arms, legs, elbows, and knees.

The combination of Goat Milk, Marine Collagen, and Glycolic Acid works best with consistent use, so don't be shy about making it part of your daily routine. The glycolic acid level is gentle enough for regular use, but as always, SPF is your best friend if the treated areas will be exposed to the sun ā˜€ļø

Why personalisation?

One of my favourite parts of running Pearl Naturelle is seeing the ingredient combinations customers come up with.

This Body Butter is a perfect example. Marine Collagen isn't an ingredient I often see requested in body care, but when this customer chose it, it immediately made sense alongside Goat Milk, Green Tea Extract, and Glycolic Acid. Each ingredient brings something different to the formula, and together they create a body butter that's tailored to what her skin actually needs. That's the beauty of custom skincare.

Your skin concerns are unique

No two people have exactly the same skin. Some people struggle with dryness, others with rough texture, loss of elasticity, dullness, or a combination of several concerns at once.

A personalised formula allows us to focus on what matters most to your skin.

Ingredients are chosen with purpose

When I create a custom formula, every ingredient has a reason for being there.

In this body butter, Marine Collagen was selected to support skin elasticity, Glycolic Acid to help improve texture, Goat Milk for nourishment, and Green Tea Extract for antioxidant support.

Nothing is added just because it's trendy.

Better balance, better results

One thing I've learned as a formulator is that more ingredients don't always mean better skincare.

Often, a carefully balanced formula with a handful of well-chosen ingredients performs far better than a product packed with dozens of actives.

A formula built around your goals

Whether you're looking for softer skin, improved texture, extra hydration, or specific ingredients you already know your skin loves, custom skincare gives you the freedom to create something that's truly your own.

And honestly, that's what makes every order so special to me šŸ’•

Every custom formula tells a story about the person who requested it, and I feel incredibly lucky to bring those ideas to life.

Want a custom formula like this one? I'd love to create something just for you šŸ’Œ Send me a message and let's start designing your perfect skincare ritual.
